How much does a Slovenia trip cost?
Slovenia is excellent value compared to Western Europe. Budget travelers staying in hostels, eating at local gostilnas and self-guiding can get by on around €50 per person per day. Mid-range travelers — comfortable hotels, sit-down restaurants, a couple of guided activities — should budget €110–130 per person per day. Luxury travelers in boutique alpine hotels with spa access can expect €250+ per person per day.
Key budget items to note: meals at a simple local gostilna cost €4–7 (soup + main), while mid-range restaurants run €15–25 per person. If you rent a car, you'll need a vignette (motorway sticker) — currently €16.50 for a week or €32.50 for a month, valid on all motorways. Lake Bled and Triglav National Park are free to explore independently, though some attractions charge entrance fees.
